ArcticCircle BerlinForum2024The 2024 Arctic Circle Berlin Forum will be held 7-8 May 2024 at the Radialsystem Culture and Event Centre in Berlin, Germany. The Forum will explore the role of Science, Climate, Policies, and Europe in the future of the Arctic.

The Berlin Forum will be hosted by the Federal Ministry of Education and Research and co-organized with the German Arctic Office at the Alfred Wegener Institute Helmholtz Centre for Polar and Marine Research.

Over 100 speakers in over 20 Sessions will participate in the Arctic Circle Berlin Forum.

 

On the program are sessions such as:

  1. The Arctic is Cold Again: Climate Change, Political Competition and Security Challenges.
  2. International Research in the Arctic Amidst Global Tensions.
  3. Rapidly Thawing Arctic Permafrost – Risks and Opportunities.
  4. Sharing and Caring: Arctic Indigenous Knowledges and Co-creation.
  5. The Changing Nature of Shipping in the Arctic.
  6. What´s next with and without Russia in the Arctic? Climate, geopolitics, security.
  7. European Research Polar Priorities.
  8. International Cooperation for an Arctic on Fire.        and many more...

Registration is open. The deadline to register for the Forum is 29 April 2024.
