Global interest in the Arctic has increased dramatically in recent years. The eyes of many have moved north because of the climate change and the gradual impact it has on the Arctic environment.
But it is not only the climate change itself that interests people. It is estimated that Climate Change will reduce Arctic sea ice significantly, increase shipping activities in the area, change fisheries and ecosystems and increase in oil and gas extraction in the Arctic.
These developments will have great environmental, social and economic impact in the region changing the way people view the Arctic as well as live in the Arctic.
