Dear CliC community and partners,
This is to inform that the CliC International Project Office (IPO) in Bergen will close its doors on the 31st of December 2022. The IPO has been kindly hosted by the Bjerknes Centre for Climate Research and co-funded by the Research Council of Norway, since September 2020.
The IPO will re-open its doors in early 2023 at the University of Massachusetts at Amherst, as soon as the new Executive Director is in place. The position has been announced with a deadline March 31at, so please help us advertise it as widely as possible!
Until then, I will provide primary assistance to the CliC SSG working (remotely) as Scientific Officer at the WCRP Secretariat in Geneva.
It's been a privilege to work for such a stimulating scientific community as CliC. I only wish I could have been able to provide more and better services but with only a 50% position it was limited what I could manage. Fortunately, the IPO at UMass will be fully staffed with a Director, assistant officer and communications expert. As such, it will be a key factor for CliC to achieve its full potential.
