Meeting of the Network of Asian Social Science Data Archives
Taiwan's Survey Research Data Archive (SRDA) is hosting the 2023 Meeting of the Network of Asian Social Science Data Archives (NASSDA) on 17 February 2023. This international network includes data archives from China, Japan, Korea, and Taiwan and its annual meeting is a closed-door event for members to update each other on recent progress, share experiences, and discuss potential collaborations amongst data archives in Asian countries.
This year's meeting will feature presentations from Dr. Steven McEachern of the Australian Data Archive (ADA) and Dr. Jonathan Crabtree of Core Trust Seal and Director of Research Data Information Systems (RDIS) at the Odum Institute for Research in Social Science. The presentation by Dr. McEachern will be on the topic of "Social science data archiving and research infrastructure in Australia," while Dr. Crabtree will serve as the discussant.
Although the NASSDA meeting is closed to the public, the organizers hope to attract more social science data archives in Asia and potentially host an open event in the future. You can also view photos and reports from past meetings dating back to 31 January, 2016 at https://nassda.org/events_list/
