The Polar Data Forum V will be held 30 October - 3 November 2023 - Cambridge, UK.
The themes are

  • Data for modellers and remote sensing
  • Logistical information management
  • Barriers to data sharing / User needs
  • New ships and real-time data in low connectivity locations
  • Systems for digitally enabled observations
  • Tools and Technologies for Data Management and Delivery

The ROADS Process at the Arctic Circle Assembly

19th - 21st October, Reykjavík, Iceland

The Sustaining Arctic Observing Network (SAON) has initiated the Roadmap for Arctic Observing and Data Systems (ROADS) as a planning framework to support its national and organizational partners.

We are now happy to invite the ROADS Advisory Panel, partners and other interested to an Open Partnership Meeting on the ROADS process. The meeting will be held at the Dettifoss meeting room at the Radisson at 21st October 13:45-16:45 Iceland Time (GMT). Remote attendance is possible. More information is found here.

IASC-ROADS Fellowship 2024

Application deadline 18th October 2023

In partnership with the International Arctic Science Committee (IASC) the ROADS process is offering an IASC-ROADS Fellowship to support an early career researcher to get more involved in the work of SAON-ROADS.
Applications for the IASC Fellowships are currently open with an application deadline on 18 October 2023 at 13:00 GMT.

Arctic Observing Summit 2024

Short statements can now be submitted up until January, 2024

The Arctic Observing Summit (AOS) is a biennial summit that aims to provide guidance for the design, implementation, coordination and sustained operation of Arctic observing.
