The Sea Ice Prediction Network (SIPN) and the Lamont-Doherty Earth Observatory are hosting the third annual Polar Prediction Workshop on 4-6 May 2016 at the Sea Ice Outlook in Palisades, New York, USA.
The meeting will include a series of invited talks on the first day, followed by contributed talks and poster sessions.

The 2016 workshop will focus on:
- Sources of polar predictability on sub-seasonal to inter-annual timescales
- Sea ice prediction
- Operational and research efforts
For those who are interested in following the conference, but are not able to attend, the entire three days of the event will be live streamed from 9:00 am until 5:30 pm Eastern Daylight Time (EDT) on 4 and 5 May, and from 9:00 am until 2:00 pm EDT on 6 May.
Forecast users and operational forecasters are encouraged to take part in the workshop.
Outcomes of the meeting will include recommendations for the Sea Ice Outlook and other activities related to polar prediction.
