In the last few months, the APECS-APPLICATE-YOPP Online Course on "Advancing Predictive Capability of Northern Hemisphere Weather and Climate” shared cutting edge knowledge about Arctic weather and climate predictions, challenges and strategies to overcome limitations in 11 webinars. Master and PhD students as well as postdocs from diverse backgrounds and countries attended our course.
Our most dedicated participants have selected and described Arctic extreme weather phenomena, studied how they impact specific aspects of daily life in the Arctic and beyond, identified stakeholders who are using weather and climate predictions in their operations, and recommended action plans to handle future similar events.
The students are preparing to present their inspiring and novel case studies in a dedicated webinar on December 4, 2-4 pm GMT.
You are cordially invited to join the webinar via this weblink (https://zoom.us/j/657695549) and learn about the students projects.
