Arctic Basecamp

It's finally time. The annual meeting of the World Economic Forum is taking place May 22 to 26 in Davos, Switzerland, and Arctic Basecamp will be there. This will be their fourth edition camping in front of the majestic Berghotel Schatzalp to press the urgency of the Arctic crisis.

Arctic Basecamp is thrilled to announce that they are launching the Arctic Risk Platform, an innovative interactive tool, backed by the latest science and designed to provide business leaders and policymakers worldwide with actionable insights on climate risks from the Arctic global impacts, and solutions.

If that isn't enough, this year they also have an agenda of high-level sessions on the most pressing issues of the day - from conflict, climate and food security to mitigating risks and the importance of environmental intelligence as a decision making tool. All are led by world-class experts such as like Ukraine’s Lead IPCC Author, Svitlana Krakovska, and other high level speakers soon to be announced.

Arctic Basecamp are once again bringing an international youth delegation to Davos. Their six inspiring Youth Ambassadors who will be joining us, are Helena Gualinga, from Ecuador, Ilyess El Kortbi, from Ukraine, Cassidy Kramer, from Alaska USA, Sophia Kianni, from USA-Iran, John Paul Jose, from India and Kaime Silvestre, from Brazil.
