The northern hemisphere is approaching its brightest day with the longest day, summer solstice, on June 21st.
In the higher latitudes, as in the Arctic, this period is a period of 24 hour daylight and the very short sunset is often very colorful.
Arctic Portal´s Fanney Ingvadottir was up late in Akureyri last night and recorded the spectacular sunset and its show of colours at the mouth of Eyjafjordur, wich opens just shay of the Arctic Circle.
