The International Permafrost Association publishes reports from its adhering bodies documenting permafrost-related activity in member countries.
Country reports have been published since 1988. IPA has just published Country Reports 2021. it can be found here in the Arctic Portals library or at the IPA website in the country reports archive.
The Arctic Portal has been a long time supporter of the International Permafrost Association and its outreach and hosts and technically manages The Global Terrestrial Network for Permafrost (GTN-P). GTN-P is the primary international programme concerned with monitoring permafrost parameters. GTN-P was developed by the International Permafrost Association (IPA) under the Global Climate Observing System (GCOS) and the Global Terrestrial Observing Network (GTOS) in 1999, with the long term goal of obtaining a comprehensive view of the spatial structure, trends, and variability of changes in the active layer thickness and permafrost temperature.
