Volcanic eruption at Keilir, Iceland 2023

As predicted last week the earth has opened up again between the capital of Iceland, Reykjavík and the national ariport, Keflavík.

In the last few days thousands of earthquakes, many of which have been strong enough for the inhabitants to sense the power of nature, have been a true indicator that magma was pushing its way through the Earths crust. At this time the magnitude is not known but it is stronger than last year. Its location does not cause immediate danger to infrastructure but Authorities are aware that both airtraffic and local transport might be at threat. The ammount of ash is minimum at this moment but could change rapidly as could poisonous gases.
