On 11-22 November 2024, the Northern Forum hosted the first-of-its-kind Arctic Pavilion at the UN Climate Change Conference (COP29) in Baku, Azerbaijan.
This first Arctic dedicated contribution to the COP, located in the "Blue" zone of the conference grounds, hosted multiple cross discipline presentations and panels and was very well received.
Vladimir Vasilev, Executive Director of the Northern Forum, has compiled a comprehensive report, presenting the preparation, presentations, main speakers and the key results of the Pavilion’s work.
Vasilev´s conclusions are important when organizing similar events at subsequent future conferences of the parties.
