There are two weeks left before the opening reception of the second Assembly of the Arctic Circle, which will be held October 31 – November 2 in Reykjavík, Iceland. An updated version of the full program is now available here.
Delegates from the foreign ministries and governments of Canada, China, Estonia, Finland, France, Japan, Korea, Russia, the United Kingdom, and the United States Department of State will participate in the Assembly.
Representatives from major shipping companies, oil and gas corporations and the mining and fishing industries will discuss the future of business in the Circumpolar North.
Over 900 participants from 34 countries will attend the Assembly. Academics from over 70 universities and research institutions will participate in plenary sessions, breakout sessions, and networking events.
The Arctic Circle provides an open, democratic forum for discussion and cooperation on Arctic Affairs. Interest in the Arctic Circle is growing.
A number of governments, corporations, universities, organizations, associations, think tanks and others have prepared their participation for the second Assembly.
