The focus of the 2023 forum was on the profound impact of agrifood systems, which span the entire journey of food from farm to table and extend to every facet of our lives, touching every corner of the planet.

The 8th China-Nordic Arctic Cooperation Symposium was held in Guangzhou, China, 3rd-6th December 2023. The theme of the Symposium was "Sustainable Development of the Arctic Oriented: The Role of Sino-Nordic Cooperation" followed by a business roundtable with the theme Green Solutions to Arctic Tourism. The convener of the symposium was the South China Business College, Guangdong University of Foreign Studies (SCBC) and the co-conveners were the Polar Research Institute of China (PRIC), the secretariat of CNARC, Arctic Portal.org, and the Arctic Yearbook.

This year's theme, "Great Transition: Navigating New Arctic," sets the tone for the event. The primary goal of the Arctic Partnership Week 2023 is to lay the groundwork for collaborative efforts in the Arctic.

Arctic Circle, Emerson Collective, and Nia Tero jointly hosted a special Action Summit on December 4th at the COP28 in Dubai, led by Ólafur Ragnar Grímsson, Laurene Jobs, Peter Seligmann, and Andy Kasner. The session, organized in collaboration with COP28 President Dr. Sultan Al Jaber, took place at the renowned Museum of the Future.

The Arctic Yearbook 2023 was formally launched today at the 8th China-Nordic Arctic Research Center (CNARC) Symposium held in Guangzhou China. The yearbook is now available on the Arctic Portal or at www.arcticyearbook.com. The publication of the Arctic Yearbook is led by the excellent team of editors, Lassi Heininen, Sara Olsvig, Justin Barnes & Heather Exner-Pirot, with the support of the AY editorial board, technically and graphically supported and hosted by ArcticPortal.org.
