The 8th Arctic Partnership Week is currently in progress, taking place from December 10 to 12 in the city of Busan, South Korea. This year's theme, "Great Transition: Navigating New Arctic," sets the tone for the event. The primary goal of the Arctic Partnership Week 2023 is to lay the groundwork for collaborative efforts in the Arctic.
The event places a strong emphasis on our collective responsibility, with a focus on exploring innovative cooperative pathways for the future of the Arctic. Given the urgency of the climate crisis in the region, the event highlights the need for meticulous and dedicated observation and research. Additionally, there is a significant emphasis on profound considerations for the direction of sustainable development in the Arctic.
