The International Forum Arctic Territory of Dialogue was held in Murmansk, Russia, on March 26 and 27 with the theme - To live in the North!
The forum was well attended and many high-level sessions discussing Arctic issues took place. The sessions and their focus were predominantly on the Arctic and the Northern Sea Route, including subtopics as: Competing on the Global Stage; A Magnet for Investment; and Developing Key Settlements; as well as on International Cooperation and the Environment.
The Forum concluded with a plenary session during which President Putin made a speech on Russia and the Arctic. In his speech, he addressed strengthening Russia's global leadership in the Arctic while geopolitical competition in the region is intensifying. Putin concluded his remarks by stating the need for comprehensive development of the region as solid foundation for future generations. Watch Putin´s address
